Luna 2

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon

A New Moon – Luna Two!

This Luna may share a name with one of our Set for Life girls, but she’s carving out her own special place in our hearts.

Every day, four-year-old Luna reveals something new about herself, and watching her confidence grow has been beautiful to see.

When Luna first arrived in foster care, the back door was a mystery and stairs were completely foreign to her. Today, she’s a champion at both! With a little patience and encouragement, she’s learning that the world isn’t nearly as scary as she once thought.

Luna is also becoming more comfortable with her daily routines and is making great progress with her house training. BTRC alum Braydie has been helping her learn the ropes and showing her what life in a loving home looks like. One of Braydie’s most important lessons: if mom is in the kitchen, that’s exactly where you should be, too.

Her timidness continues to improve with plenty of positive reinforcement, gentle guidance, and the freedom to move at her own pace. She’s learning that people can be kind, that new experiences can be enjoyable, and that she is safe.

Like many dogs, Luna occasionally wants to make sure she’s included when her foster dad is giving attention to sister Braydie, but she’s learning that there’s enough love to go around.

Whenever possible, both dogs are included, and Luna has become quite speedy when she wants to join in on the action!

The little victories may seem small, but for dogs like Luna, they mean everything. Every step, every new experience, and every moment of trust is helping her discover what it means to simply be a beloved family dog. ❤️

P.S. The green tags her fosters have on the girls’ collars contain natural essential oil repellents intended to help keep mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks at bay while they’re outside. Once Luna’s 4DX test comes back negative, she’ll be starting her regular heartworm, flea, and tick preventative as well.

LUNA IS BEING FOSTERED IN SARNIA, ONTARIO AND IS NOT YET READY FOR ADOPTION.
