I'm not quite ready to go to my new home.

Rupert

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon

Welcome to the Club, Rupert!

The dictionary defines ‘mild’ as gentle, calm, and good-natured – and if ever there was a dog who embodied that description, it’s our four-year-old biker boy, Rupert.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Rupert was leaving behind the only life he had ever known. Today, he’s discovering country roads, car rides, playtime, and all the little joys that come with being part of a family.

His foster family adores him: “We love Rupert so much. He is VERY SWEET.”

Rupert loves playing ball and spending time outside, especially in the country where there are plenty of new sights, sounds, and smells to explore. He travels beautifully in the car and has quickly learned that bedtime means a cozy crate and a full night’s sleep.

He’s a gentle, submissive boy who seems to prefer the company of men and can be a little unsure when new people approach him. Sudden or loud noises still startle him, and walking on a leash is very much a work in progress, but every day brings a little more confidence and a little more understanding of this big new world.

House training and stairs are coming along nicely, although baths remain firmly on Rupert’s list of things he’d rather avoid!

Like so many of the Boston 26, Rupert is learning that this next chapter is all about taking life at his own pace and enjoying the ride. ❤️
