This handsome five-year-old boy was surrendered because his family recognized that he was becoming increasingly anxious with the addition of a baby in the home. They tried incredibly hard to help Fred adapt, but ultimately had to make the heartbreaking decision to find him a calm and predictable environment.
Now in foster care, Fred’s already made quite the impression on everyone he’s met so far. He’s lucky enough to go to work with his foster mom, and he likes to make his presence known in a big way. He’s taken it upon himself to acquire the role of receptionist – except his position is more mobile – he makes rounds from office to office to ensure that everyone knows, ‘Fred has arrived.’
At home, you will often find him napping in a sunbeam or enticing his foster parents to play a game of tug. He’s also living with bird siblings and has proven to be curious but respectful.
Fred’s working on his greeting manners as his enthusiasm can sometimes involve teeth. Lucky for him, he’s a smart and eager boy in a very experienced foster home that is committed to working on his training.
Fred has his first vet appointment tomorrow, and we have a feeling he’s going to win over a whole new group of fans.
Fred is being fostered in Vancouver, BC and is not yet ready for adoption.
