BTRC was contacted by a shelter about an eight-month-old Boston Terrier who was surrendered because her owners did not have the time to dedicate to her training and need for stimulation (anyone who has ever met a Boston puppy knows they require lots of play time). So, Shanny made the trip from Québec to her foster home in Ontario.
Looking at this picture, it’s clear that she’s much happier after her shelter break. Her foster mom has been working on Shanny’s manners and teaching her that not every dog wants to play all the time. And while she gets an A+ on crate training, housebreaking still needs some work. With her foster mom’s patience and experience, and some good doggy role models in the home, we’re confident Shanny will be a fast learner.
Spay surgery and cherry eye repair are in the near future, so this adorable girl will have a very full schedule soon. In the meantime, she plans to convince her foster sister, Prim, that she is indeed BFF potential and not just a pesky younger sibling.
