This sweet boy was found as a stray, and a shelter in Quebec reached out to see if we could help. The shelter environment was quite stressful for Tofu, and they felt he needed a calmer setting to begin to decompress.
They were right – since arriving in foster care, we’re starting to see glimpses of who Tofu might be once he’s settled, and so far, we really like what we’re seeing. ❤️
At around four years old, Tofu appears to be a gentle, sensitive boy. He’s currently living with two BT-mix foster sisters (one a BTRC alum) and has been navigating things thoughtfully. He seems to read social cues well, which is especially important since one of the girls very much values her personal space.
Tofu’s still figuring out the ins and outs of homelife. The other day, he chose an indoor plant as a potty spot. We can see why he thought that was reasonable, given it looked much like the trees he marks outside. He will be getting neutered soon, and we’re hopeful that it will help with the marking as he continues to settle in.
Tofu is being fostered in Whitby, ON, and is not yet ready for adoption.
