Rest? No thanks! Play time? Yes please!

Everyone who meets Stanley can’t help but gush over how sweet, charming and playful he is. He was even excited when he entered the vet’s office (though in all fairness, no one told him why he was visiting).

Stanley was just neutered, and though one of his testicles hadn’t descended, the surgery went smoothly, and he’s doing great. So great actually, that Stanley clearly didn’t get the memo from his vet that post-surgery means you need to rest!

This spunky three-year-old arrived home full of beans and ready to play! His parents are now acting as the ‘fun police,’ making sure Stanley and his Corgi-Shepherd foster brother, Brutus, are keeping calm. One thing he absolutely adores is that his foster mom has been carrying him up and down the steps. He pretends he’s obeying the dogter’s orders, but really, he knows it’s just another opportunity to snuggle in close and be pampered. ❤️ Nice play. Stanley.

Stanley is being fostered in Edmonton, AB and is not yet ready for adoption.

Stanley (named after the Stanley Cup by some hockey-loving BTRC volunteers) recently said goodbye to shelter life and hello to the good life – in his foster home. This adorable three-year-old boy is settling in nicely and was quite pleased to learn his foster siblings included a corgi/shepherd mix named Brutus and a young human – score!

When he’s playing or basking in a sunbeam, Stanley has taken on the important role of work-from-home assistant, providing moral support with lap snuggles. He’s doing such a great job that we suspect he may be looking for a part-time job – after all, Christmas is coming, and he’s got gifts to buy for his new foster family

Stanley is being fostered in Edmonton, AB and is not yet ready for adoption.

P.S. Yes, he’s ‘that’ shelter boy – the one who so many of you shared – who came to us after all. ❤️
