I’m brown, bubbly and bursting with energy, and I’m ready to be YOUR best buddy!
When I first came to BTRC, I stayed at some temporary digs before my long-term foster home was able to take me. It took me a little time to adjust, but I quickly found my groove and discovered that my Boston Terrier foster brothers were awesome! Like me, they’re into fetch, but the best thing is that I can outrun both of them!
I’m five years old, but don’t let my premature grey fool you – that’s trendy now. People pay big bucks for this look! I’m full of beans, and proud of my marathon skills. Everyone says I’m like the Energizer Bunny when I’m outside because I zoom circles around the yard. I don’t know who this bunny is, but if he has a squeaker, I’d love to meet him!
I love meeting new people of all ages, and my foster home has two young humans I adore. My foster brother is a giant, gentle Mastiff, but I prefer pups my own size, like my Mastiff puppy foster sister! We wrestle constantly, and I can even tire her out with my boundless energy. I’m not a fan of cats, so my forever home must be feline-free. And just so you know, Nerf guns are also on my “no, thank you” list.
Leash walking was new to me when I arrived, but I’ve learned quickly that pulling doesn’t get me anywhere faster. Now I’m much more confident and eager to explore. I’d be a wonderful companion for an active family who enjoys walks, camping, or mountain adventures as I’m eager to go to new places and try new things.
After a fun day, I love to relax. I’m great in my crate at night, but if you let me into your bed, I’ll snuggle right up next to you. ❤️ My foster mom calls me a huge love bug who thrives on attention (which isn’t hard, because I’m so darn cute).I am a sweet, snuggly and silly girl who cannot wait to meet her forever family. Kiwi’s foster home just got a whole lot livelier – she’s now sharing her space with a brand-new puppy foster sister named Krime! She couldn’t be happier to have someone her own size to play with; her Mastiff brother, Kingston, seems to be a little too giant for her. And while Krime might be small now, we’re not sure Kiwi realizes her wrestling buddy will soon be a heavyweight too!
When she’s not playing tag-team champion, Kiwi has another passion – chewies. Lots of chewies. ALL the chewies. She’s developed a bit of a hoarding habit, and it’s clear she’s sending a gentle message to everyone in the house – the chewies are hers and only hers.
The biggest and best news for Kiwi? She’s getting ready for her next big adventure – a forever home. Kiwi is being fostered in Edmonton, AB; stay tuned!
Meet Kiwi!
This adorable five-year-old girl came to BTRC because her family couldn’t give her the time and attention she deserved. Now, in foster care, she’s making the most of every moment and treats even the smallest things like big new adventures.
Kiwi is affectionate, playful, and silly, and keeps her foster family laughing. Her signature move? Rubbing up against her foster mom’s legs like a cat – though she’ll be the first to share that sharing a home with one is not her favourite.
She’s scheduled for a dental surgery, but that’s not on Kiwi’s mind yet, because she has a very full foster itinerary – snuggle, nap, play, eat, repeat. Her young human foster sister, who Kiwi absolutely adores, is making sure she completes every “to-do” on her list!
