We have a heartwarming story.
When BTRC alum Casey was rescued in September 2023, we knew she was a mom but assumed that because her pups had found their homes, that was the end of her parenting journey.
One of those pups was Bentley – a beautiful boy with the same gentle personality and soulful gaze as his mom. What makes this story truly magical is that when the family who adopted Casey learned that Bentley was in foster care, they knew they had to bring him home. So, they opened their hearts once more, and Bentley was embraced by the same loving arms that held his mom when she needed it most.
Now, mother and son are together once again. Safe. Loved. Forever home.
We couldn’t have written a better ending if we tried.
BTRC was contacted about a two-year-old Boston with an eye injury. From the pictures, it was clear his eye was in bad shape, so a volunteer immediately drove to get him, and he was in surgery the same day. The eye had ruptured and needed to be removed, but thankfully, everything went well, and Bentley could recover in the care of a foster home.
Everyone who has met Bentley (including every staff member at the vet’s office) has adoringly commented on what a sweet boy he is. Our biggest concern is that he needs to lay low while in recovery, but he’s SO loving and SO happy and wants to show everyone (including his doggy companions) in a big way!
Bentley is being fostered in Simcoe County, ON, and is not ready for adoption, but he does want everyone to know that he’s turning three next month, and he plans to be in tip-top shape for his big day. ❤️
