Pepper may be the smallest of the group, but he’s mighty at heart. He’s never let his size hold him back from exploring, learning or keeping up with the pack.
With piercing blue eyes and pointy little ears, he’s irresistible – especially when he’s sitting at your feet, gazing up in hopes of a cuddle. Pepper’s all about his humans, though he also appreciates his quiet time. Sometimes you’ll find him sitting contentedly with a chew toy or curled up on a lap, watching his siblings from afar. And then, in the blink of an eye, he’s back in the action, holding his own with the best of them!
With a healthy appetite (and a remarkable ability to sleep through just about anything), he’s quickly catching up in size to his smallest sister, Clove. His bright little bark and newfound confidence show that while he may be small, he’s more than capable of speaking up when he needs his space.
Pepper’s the perfect blend of sweet, thoughtful and brave – and he’s ready to find a forever family of his own.

Nutmeg is a sweet, playful and adventurous little pup with a personality that truly shines. She loves her toys and plays beautifully with other dogs. Her favourite game is “Catch Me If You Can,” and she’ll happily swipe a toy and take off running (it’s as funny to watch as it is impressive!)
Energetic with the occasional burst of zoomies, Nutmeg’s always up for some fun. She also plays well with the adult dogs and holds her own while still being gentle and silly.
When playtime winds down, Nutmeg’s more than ready to snuggle up on the couch for belly rubs. She has the sweetest little face – especially when you tell her she’s a good girl. Her goofy, lovable personality makes it impossible not to fall in love.
Is Nutmeg your girl?

Always expressive and curious about what her humans are up to, Poppy would love to be your little sidekick and shadow. Don’t let her adoration of people fool you, though – she also loves a good wrestle with her brothers and sisters and is always ready for action…and more often than not, she’s the one instigating it!
One look at Poppy and you can see her two sides – one white ear and one black. Irresistible? Absolutely. But it also perfectly reflects her personality: sweet and gentle, yet full of energy and sass!
Her foster mom says her signature move is acting tough while egging her siblings on to play…only to quickly roll onto her side to show she’s all talk.
She has a strong little bark, a healthy appetite, and loves curling up with her siblings for a long, cozy nap.
Poppy is ready to be yours!

She’s sleek, black, with just a touch of white, and she has dark, inquisitive eyes that gleam with mischief.
Clove is a social pup who thrives on canine companionship. She’s also a fierce contender in the wrestling ring and can absolutely hold her own! Among her many talents are expert-level bed digging and professional blanket burrowing…quite an impressive résumé for such a young gal.
Still learning the house rules, Clove may search for a strategic escape route if she senses playtime is coming to an end. When the humans say it’s time to rest, Clove seems to think they must be talking to someone else – she just can’t resist getting rowdy!
Clove also doubles as an alarm clock, happily announcing when it’s time to eat (one of her favourite hobbies). But after a good meal and some spirited wrestling, even this lively girl can’t resist a well-earned nap.
Can you keep up with Clove? She’s ready for her next adventure!

The Spice Rack puppies were born on February 2, 2026 by c-section.
The Spice Rack puppies are Boston Terrier / French Bulldog mixes.
Their mom, Ginger, is a petite 15 lbs, and while dad is unknown, the puppies are currently tracking within the expected weight range for Boston Terrier puppies of a similar age.
As with all mixed-breed puppies, adult size is still an estimate – not a guarantee – but we expect them to stay on the smaller side.
Not yet! These pups are just starting to learn about crates, routines, and alone time.
Adopters should expect to continue crate training with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement.
Also no.
Puppies are a full-time commitment, and potty training is very much a work in progress. Accidents, middle-of-the-night potty breaks, and learning the “rules” are all part of puppy life.
Each puppy will go home with age-appropriate veterinary care based on when they are adopted.
This includes:
The adoption fee for each puppy is $1000.
Yes – BTRC does adopt outside Alberta, but within Canada only.
The successful adopter must be willing and able to travel in person to pick up their puppy and safely bring them home. BTRC does not ship dogs.
Generally, yes – but puppies and young children always require supervision.
Puppies are small, delicate, busy, mouthy, and still learning. They nip, jump, and chew. Children must be gentle, respectful, and supervised so everyone learns safely together.
They are well-socialized with people and other dogs and are learning normal puppy social skills. That said, puppies are busy, playful, and occasionally rude.
The better question is often:
How does your resident dog feel about puppies?
Not every adult dog appreciates tiny chaos with sharp teeth.
Possibly – but successful puppy-cat relationships depend heavily on your cat.
Is your cat confident, dog-savvy, and likely to tolerate a tiny gremlin who believes everyone wants to play?
Puppies can absolutely learn to live happily with cats, but adopters should expect to actively manage introductions and teach respectful coexistence.
We don’t have a central shelter facility where families come to meet dogs. Our puppies are raised in our volunteers’ private homes.
Because of that, meet-and-greets are not generally offered.
We focus on thoughtful matching – reviewing your application, references, lifestyle, experience, and what each puppy needs to thrive. Our fosters know these puppies best and help guide those decisions.
