I'm not quite ready to go to my new home.

Lincoln

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon

Two boys, two dentals and a whole lot of cuteness!

Brothers Lincoln and Tucker both recently had dentals. Each one had a single tooth removed, and they were relieved, because the way their foster parents explained it – the more teeth removed, the longer you must wait for toys and chewies to return!

Lincoln had a lump removed from his shoulder, and pathology confirmed it was a mast cell tumour. Fortunately, it was low-grade with clear margins, so the chance of recurrence is low. The surgeries haven’t phased the boys at all (though Tucker did wake up with a chip on his shoulder and had words with the vet staff about his desire to go home – immediately).  Both pups had snuggly beds and a fireplace to get them through their first recovery night, and by the next day, they were raring to go – yammy-style (they are affectionately called “The Yams” by all of us at BTRC❤️).

Next up, more testing for Tucker as his bloodwork shows high ALP – alkaline phosphatase, an enzyme found mainly in the liver. While his levels decreased after his dental, they are still elevated, so we need to investigate further.

Now, The Yams are having a staycation at their beloved temp-foster mom’s house, which means one thing – they’re getting spoiled rotten! They keep asking her which one is cuter, and when she says they’re equally adorable, they just don’t seem satisfied.

Lincoln and Tucker are being fostered in Oshawa, ON and are not yet ready for adoption.

Happy Labour Day!

These two adorable brothers look quite happy, don’t ya think? Well, fosters Lincoln and Tucker have a lot to smile about. Amazing foster parents, a 24/7 playmate and fabulous fashion sense.

The boys plan to soak up the long weekend with a game of fetch, lots of belly rubs and a long walk rocking these bee-autiful bandanas!

Let Lincoln and Tucker know what you’re up to – they’re looking for some more ideas because they’re always up for a jam-packed agenda!

Welcome to the 2025 Summer Canine Games, and the thrilling Freestyle Pig Toss event!

Representing Boston Terrier Rescue Canada, we have a seasoned athlete known for his unwavering commitment to the squeaky pig. Lincoln has been training for this moment with single-minded intensity – ready to test the limits of speed, style, and squeak control.

THE RULES:

  • Place pig on the bed.
  • Launch pig off the bed.
  • Repeat until bored… or called to dinner.

SCORING:

  • Style points for flair and speed.
  • Extra points if the pig sticks the landing.
  • Bonus awarded if no one understands your strategy but you.

Seriously, though, we’re all pretty impressed that BTRC foster Lincoln has invented his own sport! And, naturally, he dominates it. Clever boy!

Lincoln’s foster family is fully supportive and have even purchased a “contingency pig” to ensure that equipment issues won’t interfere with his future training.

We have two new adorable faces at BTRC – Lincoln and Tucker!

At seven years young, these boys are full of energy! They were cherished members of their family, but a change in their owner's health, as well as living arrangements, meant the boys were not getting the exercise and stimulation they needed. So, the selfless decision was made to surrender them and place them in an environment that would help them thrive.

Lincoln and Tucker have had quite the journey. Originally from Alberta, they made the trip to Ontario, where a foster family was eagerly waiting for their arrival. We thought it best that the boys be placed in a home with no other pets so they could decompress after their long journey, and so we could get to know their dynamic.

So far, they’ve been playful, friendly, and full of kisses! Tucker has taken a liking to his foster dad’s shoe – it’s his sidekick while he naps. Lincoln is impressed by the extensive wardrobe available to him, and now that he knows his foster mom makes doggy bandanas, he has placed a long list of custom orders…free of charge, of course.

The boys look forward to a wonderful summer in Ontario, where they can explore their large, fenced backyard, cottage life, and lounging by the pool. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Elbows Up Raffle to help get these boys one step closer to their happily-ever-after!
